As a full-service vegetation reduction company, we at Red Mtn. Resource specialize in planting seedlings, hand and mechanical thinning/piling, and fuel reduction in forestry settings.
We are a third generation reforestation company, maintaining and restoring forests throughout the USA. We commit to do our part to keep forests healthy and resilient.
About Us
We founded Red Mtn. Resource LLC out of a pure passion for forests. We have encountered both thriving, green even-aged forests and old-growth, burned, post-fire or neglected stands of trees in our line of work. We understand the risk and danger of fire is real, and that the devastating consequences can be irreversible. We want to do our part to keep communities safe and out-of-reach of devastating fires.
When fires or disasters do occur, we work with landowners to restore burned lands to the beautiful forests they once were. We believe the best way to keep healthy forests is to maintain them. This entails planting vigorous seedlings and thinning/reducing brush and competing vegetation to provide space and nutrients for the healthiest trees in the stand. We love what we do, ensuring beautiful, fire and insect resistant forests for future generations.

Reforestation
We do large-scale planting and thinning by hand and mechanical means to reforest stands of trees that have been lost due to wildfire, logging, insect damage, and natural disaster.
Vegetation Management
We do large-scale vegetation management by many methods. Some of these methods include: planting trees or native plants, applying herbicides to reduce brush and invasive species that compete with trees and native species, and pruning, thinning, chipping, piling, lopping, etc.​

Fuels Reduction
In light of the alarming increasing number of catastrophic wildfires, we are completing more and more acres of fuels reduction. This involves thinning out and chipping vegetation in between established trees and installing fire lines (strips of zero vegetation). The purpose for this is so in the event of fire, there is less fuel like brush and small trees for the fire to consume.
The reduced fuel means the fire will not burn as hot nor as high, giving the established trees greater odds of withstanding the fire. With less fuel, the fire can extinguish itself, or it can be easier extinguished by the fire fighters. The ultimate purpose of this work is to protect assets such as: the beautiful National Forests we all enjoy, homes and cabins that are located in forested areas, our atmosphere, and infrastructure.
